Winter Issue’s Winner

CONGRATULATIONS TO Andrea White who is our Winter issue’s “MY PERFECT PROPOSAL” WINNER.

In July we share my birthday with the anniversary of the day we started going out. My now fiancÈe Chris knew that it was our ten year anniversary but as men do, had been acting like it was no big deal.

We had thought that since we had booked annual leave over that time we should take a few days away to celebrate.  So the planning started and after a lot of deliberation between many capital cities of the world but we chose Dublin. Since a child I have loved Dublin and still over the all cities I have seen no place makes me happier.  Chris knew this and all of the places that I love to visit time and time again, OíConnell Street, Half Penny Bridge and Temple Bar especially.

I had seen a hotel in Temple Bar a few years back and had told Chris that the next time we where there together we would stay in it, so needless to say as part of his plans he went ahead and booked this hotel. I did not know but before the trip Chris had met with my dad and asked his permission and also been to Lunnís Jewellers 10 weeks in advance to get the ring!

We got to Dublin the day before and arrived to a beautiful suite in The Morgan Hotel.  The weather was beautiful so we roamed the city in the sunshine. The proposal day was my birthday so I opted that we went to Dublin zoo. On the way to breakfast I knew it was going to be a good day when I stepped out of the lift in the hotel and Ronan Keating was waiting to get into it! We had a lovely day at the zoo and I had selected a restaurant that I wanted to go to that night and reserved a table for dinner.  Chris said that on the way we would put a ìlock of loveî he had made for our anniversary on Half Penny Bridge…
